Oh hey, 2017! Nice to meet yah! It’s so nice of you to join us.
Happy New Year to all of my amazing
followers! I’m starting the New Year off being a Fiancée!!! My boyfriend of
five years proposed to me on December 30th in Scottsdale, Arizona and I
have been on cloud nine ever since. I
don’t think my brain has been able to get over the excitement and actually
process what has happened.
My Fiancé organized a helicopter tour for
the both of us. As we were flying high and I was gazing out the window, I felt
a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and there was my boyfriend with the
biggest smile on his face, as he held the ring and popped the question!!!! Let
me just say that I balled for a solid five minutes. I was completely
overwhelmed with emotion and left speechless. Needless to say, it was the easiest question I could have ever answered.
As 2017 is off to an amazing start, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what was 2016. It was definitely a year of self-growth for me. I started a new job, my blog and worked on some passion projects that I have kept locked in my mind for way too long. I truly felt like it was the year that I actually made myself attempt my goals and not just write them down on a piece of paper.
As with many things in life, 2016 brought
me a lot of happiness and sadness. It was a tough year, as I had to say my
final goodbye to my Grandma who passed away. I really don’t know how to explain
grief.
All I know is that it comes and goes and everyone experiences it differently.
Sometimes even when everything seems to be just fine there can be a small part
of me that isn’t. I find comfort in knowing that she is reunited with my
Grandpa and will always watch over my family and I.
As I sit here at the kitchen table in
Phoenix, Arizona and stare out into the backyard, I can’t help but be excited.
Excited to see where 2017 will take me. Excited to see what the year will bring.
Excited to set new goals, some of which are to connect and collaborate with
more amazing people. I want to use my blog as a platform to get to know others
and connect through this crazy thing we call the Internet. I feel like I’ve met more people online,
which have then led to coffee dates which turned into friendships. I want to continue to
fulfill my health and exercise goal from 2016 (shocker) and I want to make more
time to learn new things! At the top of the ‘Learn New Things List’ is cooking.
You know since I’ll eventually be getting married and all……
Here’s to 2017! I can’t wait to see what it
will bring for everyone. What are some of your goals? Let me know in the
comments section!
Love this!! <3
