do the things in life that make your soul happy 💫

Saturday morning I was definitely in for a treat! I was told that I would be having brunch with my sister and a girlfriend.
As I came down the stairs that morning, I saw two other girlfriends park their cars in the driveway. I knew right away that they would be joining us and that I couldn't have been happier that they were. I was greeted at the door with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and an amazing assortment of balloons (why can't every Saturday be like this?!).

We gathered in the kitchen where my sister made us all mimosa's and we toasted. Again, I was overcome with emotion as I looked around and realized that everyone was here for me and to celebrate this new chapter of my life.

After we toasted, we drove off and I wasn't told anything as to where we were headed. We arrived at the Little White House & Co. in Fort Langley, BC and my oh my how cute and amazing this little place is!! My sister had gone ahead and planned a private room for us and it was set up so beautifully. We snacked on delicious finger food and sipped tea, earl gray vanilla to be exact.

My girlfriends have been my lifelong friends since we were born. Our parents were all initially friends and so naturally when we were born and grew up with one another, we became great friends and I'm so thankful for it. I can't thank them enough for being a part of the surprise and celebrating with me.

I always wondered how it would feel to one day be engaged and then later married. Although I've only been engaged for roughly nine days, I can say that it's been amazing! I'm thankful for my amazing family, friends, fiance and his family for all of their support during this most exciting time!!

I truly can't thank my sister enough who has been the sweetest in making me feel so special and loved. A sister is great, but a twin is even better. She just get's me and has a heart of true gold. The lengths that she's gone to within these nine days to celebrate my engagement is something I will never forget and always cherish.
