do the things in life that make your soul happy 💫

May 23, 2016

So you've launched your own blog....

You're probably thinking... "Oh god, here's another girl who's a self-proclaimed blogger." I'm here to tell you, yes. That's me (insert dancing girl emoji here).

I don't intend to tell you how I differ from all of the other lifestyle bloggers in Vancouver. I hope you'll follow along with me to see for yourself.

It's funny how a small idea that I had a few years ago would not leave my mind until now. Before launching my blog, I had so many reservations. The biggest of them all was would anybody really give a damn about what I had to say? The answer? Probably not. BUT... when an idea almost becomes like an itch that just doesn't leave you, sooner or later you have to hold your breath and take that leap of faith.

For three years now, I've been humming and hawing about this and I'd really like to take a moment to thank the amazing and inspiring women I have in my life. I think I drove some of them nuts with the amount of time I would ask for their opinion on this topic.

This list is in no particular order (except when it comes to momma).

1. My Momma
My mom has listened to me go on for endless amounts of time talking about all of my life dreams and aspirations. No matter how crazy my ideas have been, she’s always supported me and encouraged me to pursue my dreams!

2. My Twin Sister, Vanessa Shaniece
Vanessa, you know what I’m thinking all the time and know me better than I know myself sometimes. You’ve always supported me no matter what and thank you for being an amazing supportive sister, always.

3. Briana Cirillo, Founder of Blissful Blog
Thank you for all of the love and support. You've motivated me since I told you that I wanted to pursue this. You've also tried to help me in so many different ways and I appreciate everything you've done.

4. Reagan Burwash, Co-Visionary Pink Tank Group
I’ve chatted multiple times about starting my own blog and you've always been extremely supportive. Thank you for your support and encouragement over these last few years! You're amazing to work with.

5. Lorena Laurencelle, Co-Visionary Pink Tank Group
Lorena, thank you for your kind words of encouragement when I’ve gone on and on about this little idea of mine. You told me to just do it! It took me awhile, but here we are.

6. Lily Nguyen, Founder of 365 Days of Happiness
Lily, you gave me that kick in the a** I really needed. As a successful blogger yourself, you’ve provided me with great tips and advice and have always encouraged me to pursue my passions. I’m thankful for our little coffee date that finally brought us face to face.
